Tre colli
Catanzaro, Italy
2016

"Tre colli". The site-specific installation "Tre colli" by Alberonero represents a breakthrough in the production of public art ALT!rove Festival. Implanting a new structure directly into the natural landscape means temporarily divert the gaze from the scenario built to turn it into that lovely beauty too often forgotten and mistreated. The soft curves, the spontaneous nature, the changing colors and the wind that constantly runs on these hills are enhanced and at the same time broken by a firm structure, rigid, human and transparent, which easily leads to the figure of the unfinished, that in the years of speculation has invaded and tarnished the image of Calabrian natural spectacle. "Tre colli" represents a provocation on the identity of the relationship between man and landscape in Calabria: the brutal choice of the grid and the poetics of the transparent colors create a mimicry between human construction and the infinite possibilities of observation of nature, generating a unusual feeling that enhances the hills and the continuous movement of the wind, historical symbols of the city of Catanzaro.
